We've arrived (a few days ago)

Well, we arrived in New York City safe and sound. It has been really hot here and full of crazy amounts of crazy stuff. So far we have been staying at our friend Kurt's place while he is in Florida. Kurt's is right in mid-town Manhattan so we've been able to spend a lot of time wandering the island and being overwhelmed.

So far we have:
•Been screamed at by some crazy old man
•Ate disgustingly delicious food from a street vendor (Gyro and Philly Cheese Stake)
•Bought new shoes (Garity)
•Visited a really nice/busy outdoor farmers market
•Slept in because we can

We will be moving into our September sublet in Brooklyn on Sunday. I will send out the address and phone number for anyone who wants it. It's been really nice to be able to stay in Manhattan right after we arrived but I think it will be a nice change of pace to move to Brooklyn. I don't think Manhattan has any back yards!
